Which door are you thinking about?

Same device. Very different reason for buying it.

You are the only person who knows you're in that room.

Hotel latches are the same three designs everywhere, and more people hold a key than you'd like. This adds a physical stop that nothing on the outside can reach.

Before you buy

Can I fly with it?
Yes, in carry-on. It's 7 ounces and has no blade or pressurised parts. Take the battery out if you'd rather not risk the alarm going off in the overhead.
What if it doesn't fit my door?
Send it back within 30 days for a full refund. Gaps over 2 inches at the bottom of the door are the one case where it won't grip.
Does it work on hotel doors?
Yes, as long as the door opens inward, which nearly all hotel room doors do.
Will it damage the door or floor?
No. The contact points are rubber. It presses against the bottom face of the door, not the frame or the lock.
How loud is the alarm, really?
120 dB at one metre — roughly a smoke alarm held at arm's length. Loud enough that the person on the other side stops and leaves.
How long does the battery last?
About a year of normal use on one AAA. The green indicator dims before it dies, so you get warning.

Try it on your own door.

Brace it, then try to force it open yourself. If you're not convinced, send it back within 30 days and we refund you.
